This game is incomplete without the context of the short story "The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas" by Ursula K. Le Guin and the album This One’s For The Dancer & This One’s For The Dancer’s Bouquet by Moonface. I'd recommend reading / listening to these before playing the game or after or both. See if / how each changes your interpretation of the other.
